The Beginning
The origin of the group could be traced back to the Middle East, in the mid 80’s, with the group promoter – Mr. K Balachandran Nair laying foundation for Thammath International.
The group has to its credits the projects including:
Execution of civil works worth 60 crores in partnership with Gondawa Spa (Italy)
Ameriayah TV Station project worth 60 crores in partnership with Asano Engineering Co Ltd,
TokyoFertilizer plant no. 4 at Baiji Iraq worth 83 crores in partnership with Hitachi Zozen Co Ltd, Osaka, Japan
Construction and erection of Isomerisation Plant in oil refineries worth 112 crores at Baiji Iraq, with the ministry of oil Government of Iraq.
With the outbreak of Gulf war the group stopped its operation in the Middle East and shifted its focus to India, and thus Universal Empire Group was formed. Later on, Universal Institute of Advanced studies and research (UIASR) became the first company under the group.
The Present
Today, the group has businesses spanning across various sectors including Healthcare, Aviation, Tourism and Education. Each of these is managed by subsidiaries of the holding company - Universal Empire Infrastructures Limited. Headquartered at Kochi, Universal Empire Group has an asset base of Rs 150 crore, spread over in India and abroad. The group has five offices in India- New Delhi, Agartala,Kochi, Ambalappuzha and Lucknow, and international offices in Kathmandu ,Dubai and Mali. The group is also planning to open up offices in Colombo Srilanka and Kampala Uganda.
